Acoustic Knock Sensing

All LECM Aux Platform Knock software variants support acoustic-based (vibrational) knock sensing for up to 20 cylinders per module. Acoustic knock sensor signals are monitored in user-defined angular windows and Fourier analysis is used to transform the windowed knock sensor signal to a knock intensity (knock ratio).

Pressure Sensing

The 20KNK + 2/4P software variants support pressure sensors that can be used for acoustic knock sensing calibration and/or for real time combustion diagnostics and control (RT-CDC). Using pressure sensors for acoustic knock sensing calibration and/or for combustion metrics and cylinders diagnostics
